Walt Engelken (Owner/Builder)
Hi there! My name is Walt and I’ve been visiting Citrus County since 1976! I would visit my grandma in Inverness twice a year. I can remember hearing the race cars at the Inverness Speedway (even back then) and as a young boy loved looking for frogs and lizards around grandma’s house! Too many memories to talk about now! During those cold winters in Pennsylvania all I could think about was the memories I made in Florida. After I graduated from Penn State I knew I needed to start my Real Estate career in Citrus County, Florida. In all honesty, is took some time to get accustomed to the “small town” lifestyle, but I couldn’t be happier in Citrus County. My career in Real Estate includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Finance from Penn State University, State Certified Residential Contractors license, Real Estate Broker license, experience in Citrus County Housing Division as well as the Non-Profit housing sector learning about the many housing programs available. Now, I spend my days working with a Housing team that I truly believe can get anything done if it involves Real Estate!
Sandy Helmdach (Owner/Project Manager)
Hi, I am Sandy Helmdach, a native of Munich, Germany. I moved to Citrus County in 1986 and graduated from Crystal River High School and continued my education at the College of Central Florida where I obtained a degree in Business Management. Upon graduation, I opened my first successful business venture in car and truck accessories. In 2004, I realized my true passion was real estate and housing and decided to chase the dream – building homes. Owner of Alexa Management, I have built and constructed several single family homes. I also own AMI Property Preservation Services, performing rehabilitation on distressed and foreclosed properties. I am now a partner on Walt’s team at Build Right Development which specializes in multi-family development and project management. I look forward to using my years of building and rehabilitation experience in the housing industry while implementing my great attention to detail in order to serve the needs of Citrus Springs residents!
Jen Pollard (Lender)
Hi guys! I moved here from Boston back in ’98. I had never been to Florida, so I was so excited about palm trees and sandy beaches! As we drove through Citrus County I was amazed at the tree-lined roads, beautiful wildflowers growing alongside the highways and the crystal clear waters! Almost 20 years later, it’s still so tranquil and alluring and just has that “small town living” thing about it! I am grateful for meeting these guys – we make a pretty incredible team! My experience includes 12+ years in construction, grant administration, as well as community work with local housing non-profit organizations. I am a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator for Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc. and I will absolutely work to get you the BEST loan possible!
